Role playing and collecting comics since age 10, I'd like to share my experiences and insight of RPG's. I hope that my reader's will also feel free to contribute their thoughts and feelings alongside my own. I'd like to keep the pen-and-paper in roleplaying games. Rose City Comic Con 2012
Today was the first day of RCCC 2012, and I wanted to post my thoughts and impressions.
1st off, had a good time. I love that they feature local talent and dealers. My LCS, Tony's Kingdom of Comics, was one of the many dealers in attendance.
2nd, always appreciate seeing deals on trades. Found a booth with all trades at 60% off, and took full advantage of the discount. If I had more $$, I would have purchased enough trades to keep me writing reviews for another year. There were a few specific trades I was hoping to find, but now luck.
I want to give a special shout-out to Two-Faced Creations by Aussie. Found this cool bag there:
I didn't stay too long because I was feeling overheated and hungry. The bad part about the venue was there was horrible ventilation (read: no A/C) and no concessions. That's not a deal breaker for me, but it didn't make me want to stay too long.
From what I am to understand, tickets sold out. When I arrived, there was a small line and information was that they had max capacity. Congrats to that, but I hope that this will help prove that a different venue should be used for RCCC 2013.
All-in-all, I look forward to going next year.
